Open Mic Night

One Friday night of every month Impact Youth hosts a community open mic night. Open mic is lead by Chelsea Elliott and Mesha Perkins. If you have some musical talent you would like to share or show off then we welcome you to come down and share it with us and the rest of the community. We also have a karaoke machine with a growing collection of songs for you and your friends to use.

This is a family event and there will be younger kids so we do have a few rules.

No foul, Offensive or Sexual language
No sexually explicit lyrics , innuendos or vulgar actions or suggestions
Be respectful of others talents

But most of all come and have fun and come early so you can sign up.

It is the first Friday of every month.

We are located at 15631 Oregon St, Sherwood, OR, 97140

Prayer Requests

Well I finally got prayer requests up. So if anyone related to Impact Youth wants to add a prayer request you can do so at the top of the page. When you send your prayer request it comes to me and I’ll will put it up so people can read it and pray for you.

I will probably add one here really shortly so everyone can kinda see how they work but I wanted to update everyone and l hope you are enjoying the new youth website as features are being rolled out.

Well if you are reading this then you are reading it through rss or you are reading it on the new impact youth ministries site.

We are officially powered by wordpress now, as of right now the site isn’t finished but the functionality is there. So you will see things come and show up and some things might not totally work just yet but it’s a work in progress.

If there is anything you would like to see on here then please use the contact us in the navigation at the top of the site.

But most of all we hope you enjoy your stay and the features that are going to come along pretty soon. Can any one say link sharing?

Blogging is starting to get more and more popular and as it is more and more people are writing, so the students and leaders are writing not just about their lives but about what God is doing also. The Outlet

The Outlet is a place for kids to connect after school and get help with homework, play games, have some coffee, get on the internet and most of all to connect and have fun.

The Outlet has fooseball tables, an air hockey table, computers to connect to the internet to, coffee and a snack bar to get something to drink or grab a quick snack.

Through the school year we will be planning special events at The Outlet after school on certain days, from free nachos day, to free tacos to you name it and we are probably planning it.

Impact Youth starts our service at 7pm on every Thursday of the week, You are welcome to come down at 6pm to hangout and have a coffee before service.

We are located at 15631 Oregon St, Sherwood Or, 97140. The building we meet in is our old church building that we have totally revamped on the inside to make it into a coffee house atmosphere and a comfortable coffee sitting arrangement which is different than your typical church set up.

Welcome to Impact Youth Ministries of Sherwood Oregon. If you would like to know anything about us we hope you will take a look around, if you have a problem finding something feel free to use our search or contact us, Feel free to contact us also if you have any questions about us, But most of all enjoy your stay and we hope find what you are looking for here at Impact Youth.

Impact Youth is in our old church building that we have revamped into a coffee shop feel atmosphere. We have our services with some worship with our loud and very contemperary worship band. Our learning time is set up in the form of discussion so its comfortable for everyone so you can ask questions, share your input and most of all to make it comfortable for everyone while we still learn and share with eachother.

Hey just a quick update. I got the general theme and layout up on the new site, I’ve been hacking and redesigning it like crazy so it’s starting to look pretty cool. I’ve got some cool idea’s involved for the new total redesign and alot of them involved you guys. So stay tuned and I will keep trying my best to make sure to keep you all updated hopefully every day with what I’m doing.

Sherwood Middle School

We currently have a number of student leaders that are part of Impact youth volunteering their time at the Sherwood Middle School.

Over the last year we have taken on a number of painting projects painting some rooms that haven’t been painted in over twenty years!!! We have had the oppertunity of going in for sixth grade orientation and getting to help the sixth graders on their first day of school find their classrooms, lockers and just getting to know them.

Currently the students that are volunteering are going in during lunch and just hanging with the students and getting to know them. You can ask any of the students that volunteer and they will admit it has probably been the coolest experience they’ve had.

The biggest reason the student leaders go in is cause they were once in Junior High and they wish that had people coming in and just hanging with them, listen to them and help them with the problems they have.

What’s going on: Update 1

Well as you may know Impact youth’s website is down. Impact youth is currently undergoing a complete redesign and to do that we had to take it down. So over the next fee weeks I will be working on changing impact youth and making it more of a community and allowing a user area and the such. So to do all this I am using wordpress which is the blogging software I use on my blog to redo the impact website.

So stay tuned and I can’t wait to roll out the new updates. Keep subscribed and I will make sure to keep updating everyone on what is going on.
